Errore numero Undici - Pronomi Relativi

Another very common mistake occurs when failing to link phrases together with a relative pronoun such as CHE or CUI

In English the pronoun that can often be left out. In Italian this cannot happen.

These two phrases are both correct in English:

The house you told me about is up for sale

The house that you told me about is up for sale

Only one possible translation in Italian:

La casa di cui mi hai parlato è in vendita

(use CUI whenever you need to use a preposition with the pronoun: the house OF which..)

Again, in English it would be correct to say:

The books he writes are very interesting

The books that he writes are very interesting

Only one possible translation in Italian:

I libri che scrive sono molto interessanti
